Hello all, I have just bought a new MS mouse with a "4-way" scroll function.
Pretty cool actually, until i tried drawing. I couldn't find a single
setting in Windows, that allowed me the use of the scroll button in
    Microstation (V8)
Has anyone else had this problem, can anyone point out the right setting
before I return the mouse to the shop?
    Thnx

Don't you change the setting in Microstation? I'm sure that you did in
Microstation J. Unfortunately I can't remember where the setting is located.

  3. I assume you have installed the correct driver.

If it is the same as other mice, you define the Wheel Button as AutoScroll
and then in Microstation, under Workspace>Button Assignments, you select
Tentative then click the wheel button in the area at the bottom of the
dialog to set it as the tentative key.

To use the scroll features in Microstation, you go to
Workspace>Preferences>Mouse and define what you want the wheel on the mouse
    to do.

You may not have the 4 way scroll function, but you should at least have the
up-down scroll function in Ustn if Microsoft have designed the thing with
    some consistency.

I've tried all the settings in windows individually, then went over to
Microstation and tried to set the tentative button on the scroll button. All
    to no avail.
Quite honestly, I don't think that mouse works for the Microstation
    environment.
Whoever reads this, don't buy that mouse, it only looks good, and works well
in the windows environment. For Microstation it's useless.
