I just finish to install our new cad network license server for R2005
    on my computers test (2):
1 of them I set the variable "ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE" to our host server name
and the other one I didnt set any variable and it is still recognisable by the lmtools as a network license

My question is : is it necessary to set "ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE "?

Any feedback will be grantly welcome

    Thanks,

When you set up a deployment you are prompted for license server info. This
info gets put into a license file that is copied over at installation time.
AutoCAD will look to this file for the license server.
    I think it goes like:
    1)registry key for flexLM
    2)license file
    3)system variable

The registry key is created anytime AutoCAD is granted a license.

If the environment variable is defined, it takes precedence over the license file.
