Hello. I cannot get an XP Pro. SPII, Dell Optiplex GX270 Desktop, to get a network license from our Windows Server 2003 Server. I have installed the network version of Map5 on many computers with no problems (on SPII before). Here’s what I did: I recently moved a desktop with Map5 installed to a different office location. No changes on IP, MAC, or any other kinds of network configurations occurred during the move. The only thing I did was installed MapINFO, and GeoMedia along with MRF & FME. I also uninstalled Roxio Standard and installed Roxio that came with the DVD burner I inserted. I also added an extra hard drive to it. Over all I wouldn’t think the extra DVD burner (the original CD burner was taken out) and the extra hard drive would have anything to do with this issue. The error I get when I try to manually locate the license file is error 1.5.-12. I have researched google for the error number and was led to autodesk’s help site and it suggested to check the ports. I used “netstat –a†and found no other programs that used the same ports, 2080 & 2001-2009(I think). I am thoroughly confused on what is causing this computer to do this. I have uninstalled all programs I installed yesterday with no help. I cannot uninstall Autocad Map5 because the option is not in the Add/Remove dialog. There is an entry there but no words are in it and no button.??!? The entry is VERY looooong. It has always been for some weird reason. We have always ignored it.

Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    George
