I have successfully installed AutoCad 2005 on a client machine under
the admin account as that is the only account that can install
software. It will run fine under the admin account, but when a somone
logs into the computer under their restricted profile(no admin rights),
and trys to run AutoCad, it goes through a short install process on
screen and this error is displayed.

    AutoCad Error Aborting

FATAL ERROR: Invalid Configuration path\filename: C:\Documents and
    Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\AutoDesk\AutoCad
    2005\R16.1\enu\

It looks to me like the error is cause by teh restricted profile trying
to access an administrators files. Is there any way to get around this,
avoid that install process for each user?

I previously had the same error with Inventor Pro 8 but fixed it using
a set of parameters to install the msi with that I found on
AppDeploy(should be the main one on that site for Inventor).
This was only because Inventor does not work with the Network Install.

    Thanks for any assistance,

    Dan
