Does anyone know of a cheap, preferably free, dgn to dxf or dwg converter? I have 94 3-D V7 files I need to convert for use in Autocad.

While waiting for any answers, try the search engine for the
    discussion groups.

The discussion group search engine provides flexibility for
searching through existing message content. To search:

    1. Go to http://discussion.autodesk.com/

    2. Select a product (Example: AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor). This
    one includes drafting -

    3. Type your keywords into the search box and click Search. Note:
You can further refine your query by selecting a specific
discussion group from the dropdown provided. Your group choices
will vary in the drop down, based on where you have navigated on
    the discussion group site.

Search results are sorted by relevance (a complex query of all
relevant content based on your keywords and group choices).
Clicking on the message result will display the entire thread
(the series of messages and replies).

Using "dgn to dfx" without the "", 97 separate discussions on
    that subject showed up.

We have used intergraphs smartsketch in the past to save dgn to Autocad. It
can open DGN and DWG files and save back into these formats. As with most
third party conversion software, there is some cleanup required etc...

Not really cheap, the full product is around $850.00.
