Need A LISP - Can Anyone HELP ME !!

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Ken Tumack - ALCO, Jan 19, 2005.

  1. I have a situation where I need to sent about 500 DWG's to a customer, but
my Boss needs me to clean up the dwgs.

Here is a list of things that I need the LISP routine to do.
    - explode all general blocks & attributes blocks (with all attributes
    retained)
    - change all objects to the layer 0 (all objects should retain there
    original line types as well)
    - purge the whole dwg of everything.

The final dwg will be a cleaned up dwg that has every object on layer 0 with
original linetypes of all objected forced to there original linetype style.

    Thanks in advance.............Ken

Mmm...that's hardly what I'd call "cleaning up" a drawing. If I ever
received a drawing that had been "cleaned up" in that manner, I'd probably
    go bananas.

That said, take a look at GO-0.LSP at

It's not intended to "clean up" a drawing, but rather to force objects to
layer 0 in drawings intended to be used as blocks. You may find it useful
for at least a couple of your requirements.

  4. Ken,

Are you sending these drawings to one of the Big Three?
