NAS Storage

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Greg Barfield, Jun 15, 2004.

  1. I know that on a peer to peer network there is a limit (I think 10) of the
number of people that can be connected to one computer at a time. If we
started working from a NAS device and opened drawings from that location,
would there be a limit to the number of people that could open files from
that location? If so, how many?

No, NAS devices (at least the ones I've used) can be accessed by a lot
of people (no stated limit). I've only used linux based devices though,
something based on windows may have an artifical limit.
