Is there a way to display more than one drawing sheet at a time. The
split bars are not available in drawing mode. Help would be appreciated.

There is, but it's not particularly elegant:

    in drawing doc, select:

window>new window from the drop-down, and then
window>tile horizontal or tile vertical to arrange them

now you can select different sheets of the same drawing doc.

obviously you'll have to muck around a bit minimising any other open
docs to get the two to tile next to eachother.

I have found this method works especially well if you have 2 monitors.
You can drag one sheet to one monitor and leave the sheet you are
    working on on the other.
