AutoCAD 2000i.....If a user start AutoCAD 5 times (5 ACtive Sessions), will it require 5 separate liscences or only one?

If I remember correctly. Only one. That's the way it is now and I don't
remember it ever being any different. Of course the users has to be starting
all the sessions on the same computer.

With the Multiple Document Interface it is unusual to have to start multiple
sessions of plain AutoCAD and wasteful of resources too. Are you taking
    advantage of the MDI?

Yes....Some of the users still open 3 sessionsof AutoCAD so they can Open 3 drawings....Some of them still do it even after I tols them that They can open Multiple Drawings in one session.....You know how it is.

Consider writing a little VBA code to address this. Something along the
lines of a great big message box that says "USE ONLY ONE INSTANCE OF
AUTOCAD!!!!!" when a second instance is opened.
This multiple instance is wasteful of ram, potentially wasteful of licenses
(I think you will burn 5 licenses this way) and just plain stupid. I expect
users to learn to use the tools correctly. There are too many good people
out of work to keep an idiot who won't learn employed.

Only one. (This is why Windows Terminal Services isn't supported).
