MULTIPLE 2D SOLID TO POLYLINE

    I AM TRYING TO DEVELOP A LSP. ROUTINE TO CONVERT ALL 2D SOLIDS ON A GIVEN LAYER TO A INDIVIDUAL CLOSED POLYLINES- OUR STUCT. DWG'S SHOW COLUMNS BELOW AS A (RECTANGULAR) SOLID WHILE COLUMNS ABV. ARE A (RECTANGULAR) OUTLINE WITH AN "X"-SO WHEN I CHECK OUT SAY 2ND FLOOR FRAMING I WANT ALL COLS. THAT TERMINATE AT THAT LEVEL TO SHOW AS AN OUTLINE W/ AN "X"-THEN BACK TO SOLID AT APPROPRIATE LEVEL- ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED THANX,

    Hi Jason. Have you already looked into the "coordinates" (ActiveX)
