    Hi,

I have a problem with AutoCAD 2004, occaisionally my mouse wheel changes
itself from zooming in and out to panning up and down instead.

This seems to happen at random after being in AutoCAD for... say... an hour
    and it is extremely frustrating!!!

I can force AutoCAD to zoom in and out by holding down shift, but I want to
solve the problem rather than work around it.

    Can anybody help...?

    Thanks in advance

    Ian

Do you have the slider-pan controls visible? Turn them off. This helped
several people at work because of this simple act.

In AutoCAD a wheeled mouse switches between zoom and scroll up/down if the
mouse wheel is also used as a middle click button .

In this case you can get round the problem by pressing the wheel once.

Try this when you in a very close up zoom and se if it works.

    Hi.

I don't use autocad -- but I can tell you that Microsoft Intellimouse
drivers will screw this up for you in just about every CAD tool
because they have the drivers setup to do something wild with middle
    mouse button/scroll.

Just uninstall the stupid !@^%ing program and it will work perfectly.

It is odd you are having trouble with the Microsoft Intellimouse. I have
been using same for 4 years and consider it to be the best mouse I've found
    so far.
