MODIFY VP SCALE CONTROL COMBO BOX

Is there a way that I can (relatively) painlessly modify the Viewport scale
control combo box on the viewports toolbar?
We only use architectural scales from 1/4"=1'-0" up to full scale, so all
the engineering scales are just takin' up space.

I've looked in the acad.mn* files and can't seem to find anything tempting
enough to delete!

Sorry, can't modify them by editing a menu.
AFAIK, your best bet would be to look
into using objectARX for modifications of
those controls.

An alternate method would be to create a
menu, either popup or context sensitive,
assigning your most commonly used scales.
