I am running a HP 800 Designjet printer with ACAD 2004 and XP Pro.
I am trying to plot a drawing on 36" paper to come out 24" long. I am using the Arch D (Landscape) setting. My title block is outside of the printable margins. Left unmodified, the plotter will cut the paper to 24" long. When I go in and adjust the printable margins from .67" top and bottom to .2", the title block fits but the plot comes out 25" long. Why do you get the option to change the printable size if it is going to modify the paper size? If I need to, I could modify the title block. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Dick

I've been messing with the same problem recently (HP 430). The margins
are a hardware limitation, I believe. The paper needs to be gripped
beyond the trajectory of the spray heads. However, when plotting to an
electrostatic plotter such as the monster my print service has, this
restriction is not applicable. Therefore I have made a special printer
setup with 0" margins to plot to file. But the same plot file sent to my
    430 gets cut off.

Hi Dick...I just went through a similar problem with my HP 1050c and found that the problem (believe it or not) was with my .pc3 file. I too was using 36" wide paper and the plotter was plotting out my drawings 25-1/2" high instead of 24" high.

The problem was that my .pc3 file was corrupt (don't know how or why this happened). Anyways, try using the windows system driver instead of the .pc3 file. If and when you get it to work, just create a new .pc3 file.

    Hope this helps!

  4. Hi Joe,

Glad to hear your getting what you want now and the problem was the PC3
    file.
