Modeling a Machine Screw

Discussion in 'SolidWorks' started by kareninventress, Apr 11, 2007.

  1. I hope that one of the many fine experts in the Newsgroup can point me
to a Power Point Presentation of modeling a machine screw. I need to
model several different size metric Ball/Screws, and V-Thread Screws,
and for some reason I never had the need to learn how to use the
    helicoil cutting tool.
I would be most grateful for any help that anyone would be willing to
    give me.

    Karen,

I am not an expert, but I am fine, thank you very much. Scott Baugh
has a fine SolidWorks example on his site at
    http://www.scottjbaugh.com/Design_Portfolio/SW Models.htm. It's
called "Types of Threads". If you check out his links, you will find a
bunch of experts. I am not aware of a Power Point on this, but
studying this model may help. Good luck.

    Reaper.
