I am using AutoCad 2002 and was wondering if anyone knows of a command to move or copy an entity from model space to paper space?

    Jason,

I'm in 2002 and my Express Tools do not have "chspace" (see attached) unless they're hiding.

Is there maybe a later update, still for 2002 that has it you are aware of?

Or maybe, it's not available until 2004?

  4. Ctrl+c or Ctrl+v? Copy clip or Cut Clip. Would that work for you.
Probably have a scaling issue between spaces though.

If the entity is aready a block, switch to paperspace and insert it using an appropriate scaling factor.

If it isn't a block, make it into a block (use block, not Wblock) and insert it in paperspace.

If the entity is something you think you might use again, Wblock it out to some location you can remember.

Change Space in Express Tools is not part of the Express Tools that comes with R14 or
    R2000.

If you have the Express Tools Vol 1-9 installed, then you should see the Change Space
menu item as others have described.

That is one of the differences between the free Express Tools and the paid for
Express Tools that many thought were the same as the free ones.

If you don't have Express tools, or if your Express Tools don't have
    CHSPACE...

Ctrl+C to copy the objects in model space. Switch to your layout and Ctrl+V
to paste them into paper space. You'll more than likely then have to scale
them by whatever the factor is between paper space and model space.

I prefer "copy with base point" for actions like this. It allows a bit of
precision when pasting the object. Right click to get to the command. I
use AutoCAD LT 2002, but imagine it is the same in full AutoCAD.
