Mirroring drawing and text

We have a current plan that needs to be mirrored, but after the mirror, the
justification of the text is wrong (left justified is still left justified,
but all the text lines up at the right). The text is not mirrored a la Da
Vinci (I know about MIRRTEXT), but the justification is wrong.

Any ideas on how to (easily) get them lined up correctly again? Thanks.

That's how the mirror command works in the real world.
If you replace all your text with rectangular boxes, and
mirror these boxes, you'll note that the centroid of each
of the rectangular boxes are equidistant from the mirror
    line.

Why not just copy the text, why mirror it? Texts are in a
separate layer anyway. I know.....it's a waste of my
    time, too many keystrokes....blah...blah...blah.

Might be the reason why Autodesk included customization
    capability in AutoCAD.

    Two ways that are quick:

    a) Mirror each block of text again (eyeballing the approximate midpoint of
the text as the mirror line) to restore the left alignment.

    b) Convert it to mtext using TXT2MTXT. This will also left-align it, and it
can be a time-saver because then you can drag it around as a unit. You can
explode it back to text if you want.

Either way, you usually wind up needing to rearrange things slightly.

If he's talking about mirroring something like a building plan, that would
be a big waste of time. To turn of the text, move it, mirror the plan, and
then manually move each piece of text back into place would be nearly as
much work as erasing the text and placing it all over again.

By mirroring the text along with the plan, the text at least stays in the
correct relative place -- room names are still in the correct room, and
notes are where they need to be. They just aren't left-aligned correctly,
and that's pretty easy to fix.

Select all of the text, open properties, click on justify, make your choice.

Select all of the text, open properties, click on justify, make your
    choice.

That will work on mtext but not on plain text. Like he said, when you mirror
several lines of text, it's still left justified, but the left justification
points don't line up. It's not a justifaction issue, it's an alignment
    issue.

However, if you use TXT2MTXT to convert the text entities to mtext, it will
    align them.

AHHH, I missed the "several lines" part. Thanks.
