Mirroring components

    Hello,

I'd like to mirror a few components in an assembly. So I do an
Insert->Mirror Components, select a plane and the components and
that's that. But all that SW does is create a few mirrored
copies of the component that don't stay mirrored when the
originals are moved, for instance. I'd like a mirror function
that works like the component patterns; i.e., that the mirrored
parts show up inside a "mirror1" subfolder, and that symmetry is
preserved when the original parts are moved with respect to the
    mirror plane.

This shpuld be possible because it works with other kinds of
    patterns, too.

    Yeah, I'd like that too!
What... that really isn't possible? I can do circular,
sketch-driven and what-not patterns, but not a simple mirroring?

    Strange...

    Daniel,
When I tried this feature at the first time it shocked me too. It seems such
a basic and simple thing to code for the Solidworks guys, yet it is
absolutely non existent. Maybe one day.......... (SW2008??)
