seeing as how matt doesn't allow my posts I'll post it here..

While I am not quite as conservative as Matt about program development I was
upset they went ahead and changed the UI for no particular reason than
someone who doesn't use the software to make a living wanted everyone to be
a MS zombie and thought it looked very 'pretty'
Doesn't actually affect me cos I stopped sponsoring the quality farce some
time ago.. but when I hear Jeff Ray talking delusional crap about the
    changes I see red
My idea of a CEO is someone who doesn't have a blank screen (mind)
Please guys just suck it in and sit on it.

That's because Matt Lombard is an insecure asshole. He's going to get
a lot more insecure with more authors entering the SolidWorks
    market.
They seem to be focused on getting the user interface right for SW
2009. The question I have is whether they will finally redo the
    Feature Manager.

We are not going to upgrade to SW 2008.

ok I just watched the Jim Wilkinson interview...seems like a nice fellow...
you know there is something actually quite disturbing about this stuff - and
    its this -
if you strip away all the self justification and feel good crap the naked
truth is they are all full well aware exactly what the issues are.
they are exactly the same issues people from the community have been warming
their ears with for years with no results
so why oh why do we have this persistent paralysis that keeps good employees
from getting on with what needs to be done?
is there actually anyone in SW management who understands this is a
technical service to professionals they are providing?
all I am hearing is culturally sensitive blah more suited to discussing the
annual growth targets for a chain store...

if you strip away all the self justification and feel good crap the naked
They have their agenda and they are going to stick to it.
Yes but it's balanced against their need to keep drawing a pay check.
Your hearing the same thing we have always heard. It's not going to
    change. Get use to it.
