mate question?

  1. I have a part that pivots on a axle with a concentric mate. It is also
mated to a surface perpendicular to the axis of the axle. How do I limit
the travel between two surfaces it contacts as it pivots. I guess I'm
looking for a mate that would allow me to pick the two surfaces it contacts
as the 'limit'? Is there such a thing or do I have to know the angles
    involved? Thanks for your help.

  2. I used a limitdistance mate and picked one surface on the movable part and
the surface that it stops against. This works okay but I can't seem to get
the other end of the travel to work right. Would this be another
limitdistance mate or do I assign a distance value to the previous mate
mentioned and keep adjusting until it looks right? Am I making any sense at
all? I get mate errors when I try to add another limitdistance mate.
    Please explain?

    thanks Jeff
