    Anders,

I don't think there is an integrated product that will do what you need.

Camworks and SolidCam are the only gold level CAM products, and they don't
have a module for handling the special needs of laser (like auto nesting).
In fact, of the seven certified CAM systems, only Mastercam has a special
    module for this work.

You may be able to make one of these work, it's just X,Y code, but you'll
probably spend any time you save doing other things, manual nesting, manual
    editing, etc.

    Regards

today I make a 3d part 'sheet metal' take it to drawing and make a 2d
Well, aside from doing this daily with Solidworks, I am also
    occasionally stuck
doing this from legacy acad stuff... trust me, spending an hour per
part cleaning up crap .DWG files is too much work. At least SWX
    geometry is clean.

Secondly, Sheet metal CAM apps are for the most part 2D apps, and may
well run on lower-end boxes. I already tried nesting multiple flat
    patterns on "sheets",
and a dozen sheets with 50 or so flat patterns on it will slow any box
down faster than loading an assembly with the same amount of parts in
    it.

Thats my guess why I havent seen a plugin to do it, and why I
abandoned my own start at a plugin to do the same...
