I've noticed some macros in this group where the code is posted. How
do I take the code and make it a macro on my machine? Do I need VB on
my machine? There have been some that would seem useful but I can't
figure out how to make them work.

  2. For macros, you don't need VB : the needed VBA (Visual Basic for
    Applications) is installed with SolidWorks.
The simplest is to record a dummy macro, save it under the name you want,
then edit it and cut/paste the code in place of the dummy one.
You may find some samples and links on
