    Hello ...

Although I've been using SW for a number of years, I've never been
asked to write or define Macro's. However, since I've become in
charge of setting up different parameters with regards to SW like part
& drawing templates, also setting up a PDM Vault, etc. I find it
necessary to delve into this field.

I'm looking for help in either writing a macro or borrowing someone's
macro in helping to insert/edit the custom properties of SW drawing
    files.

What I would like to achieve is rather than open the Custom Property
dialog box in SW and select a property, edit it, then click on modify,
and continue down the list, I would love to be able to run a macro and
    open a dialog box with all the custom properties there (i.e. Drawn By;
Checked By; Approved By; Drawing Title; Drawing Number; etc) and enter
the information there, click ONE button and all the information is
then saved to the Custom Property of the drawing and fills in the
    Title Block.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this ???

    Thanks for your time.

  3. Try:

    http://www.kentcontract.com/propertymanager.shtml

Kent's Custom Property Manager works exactly like what you want, plus,
it records and stores your inputs, so as you use it, you reduce your
typing even more by being able to select entries from drop down lists.

  4. If you want a program that will remember recent lists, copy props from
file to file or config to config, access props of any part from an
assembly, list props for all parts for side by side comparison and
quick edit, and more, then take a look at
    www.KentContract.com/swmacros.shtml (Custom Property Manager v3.1).
There's a free basic version you can download to see if it will work
    for you.

I've got a lot of time into it but am always open to suggestions for
    enhancements.
