    Hello,

    I'm an Autocad newbie.

I'm experiencing a strange problem using Autocad LT (2005) in Windows XP
    Professional:

When Autocad starts the color settings of my graphic card decrease to 8 bit
(256 colors), so switching to other opened programs shows ugly colors...

I haven't found any setting inside Autocad that allows to select the number
of colors, but I'm wondering why Autocad has to change my system's color
    settings??!!!

Do you know this problem? How can I solve it?

    Thanks

    Mariano

Ensure that no compatibility options are enabled on your AutoCAD
    shortcut or the main acad.exe.

    ..... :-((( .....
The "256 color" compatibility option where enabled on the main executable,
so every link to it started Autocad in 256 colors....

    Thank you very much!
