Yesterday was the longest plot ever, some 12 feet on my 5 foot wide HP5500 designjet. I'm proud to say it completed mostly without a hitch. However, about a third of the way, it just paused with no warning messages on the printer's panel display -- or on the computer screen where I was logged onto it with my browser. It was ten minutes, or so, before it started up again and that may have been a result of simply dragging the mouse on my computer. I use Firefox browser and I had noticed some type of cryptic message, language code perhaps, on the bottommost status line. After moving the mouse it caught my eye, that bottom line, when it changed. It then displayed the message "Done". There were no similar messages on the printer display. This all happened again near the end of the plot but it only lasted about a minute. I talked to my dealer about this and he's never heard of such behavior. Any thoughts? For what it's worth, here are my driver settings of the plotter in AutoCAD 2005. http://users.oeccwildblue.com/millerlr/PageSetupStepsPaperSpace.pdf The driver settings of the plotter as a Windows printer. http://users.oeccwildblue.com/millerlr/WindowsSystemPrinterProperties.pdf Len Miller
