anyone know how to link the date to a drawing sheet so i don't have to type

  2. Here's what we have along the rh side of our templates.

    AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS, INC. JOB# $PRP:"Jobno", SHT# $PRP:"Shtno", $PRP:"SW-Last
Saved By", $PRP:"SW-Last Saved Date", DWG NAME: $PRP:"SW-File Name"

This will then update every time the drawing is saved.

We just put it in the print footer
    Last Plot Date: &[date] &[time]
You will only see the date on the printed sheet not on the drawing document.

  5. I think I remember finding that I couldn't change that, but it was some time
ago and I don't remember for sure.

Unless something changed in sw2005 it isn't there you would have to create a
macro or have it just be the current date using the short date or the footer
that I mentioned earlier. The Short Date link will always show current
    date.

  7. Wayne -

You can change how SolidWorks spits out a date format by changing the
way Windows spits out a date format in the Regional & Language settings
    under Control Panel....

  8. Good job! I wanted to take the Friday off the long date. However, I found
that the note on my sheet format didn't update until I went to the sheet
format, so keep that in mind. Thanks.
