Linking part to excel sheet

    Is it possible to link a part to an excel sheet (part family config) and
    have the part updated on opening?

    Use design tables. In that there is option to link part with excel
    file.

    Thanks, found it.
    Notice that the part updates on saving.
    Did not find another way.
