    Hello,

I'd like to have a quantity obtained with the "Measure" tool (in this
case, a surface area) to show up in a drawing annotation.

Is this in any way possible?

    I use SW2005

    Daniel,

Go to File > Properties > Custom Tab. Click in the Value field and
select Surface area. That will give you the variable you need.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks, but that'll just give me the entire surface of the part in
question. I wanted to attach the note to some surface (feature) of
a part and just get the area of that surface.

    Daniel,

I know you can Copy/Paste the surface area from the Measure tool, but
that will not be parametric. Somewhere, someone knows the syntax to
get the surface are of a face. I just don't know it.

    Good luck,
