Hello. I'm developing a dxf reader and need some more information on
the Lineweight property for entities. In the dxf manual, it states for
Entities that key (370) Lineweight is an enum value that is "not
omitted". However I have had some files where it is not specified for
    each entity.
So, with this, can an entity's lineweight be specified by an
associated layer? or block? And if so. how?
Also, and info on the enum values? I have a file with -2 and -3 for
lineweights. Is there a general size for these values in autocad?
Any information, thoughts, or links would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  2. Older versions don't support this property, which might explain the lack of
    a code 370.

    Thanks for the response Michael.
Any thoughts on the enum values of -2 / -3 ? Or the layer/block issue?
