linetype problem from tool palette

    I have created several custom linetypes to represent storm, sanitary , water, etc. I have put the pline command on my tool palette and customized them to draw the desired line type and on the desired layer. the problem, is that as soon as i use one of my custom linetypes, that is what all the rest of my custom lines look like. They all use the same shape, but the shapes are brought in at the scale specified in the line type definition. The lines also come in on the correct layer and color. Any help would be great.
