lines merge printing problem

    I'm currently making the transition from AutoCAD 14 to Architectural Desktop
    3.3 and I'm experiencing a problem with printing. When I send a drawing to
    print as a plot file to a DesignJet HP750c I click on "LINES MERGE", but
    when I look at the plot file using Repro desk it shows that that feature has
    been disregarded. The plot files will pick what ever it reads as above and
    hide what it believes to be underneath instead of merging the lines. Does
    anybody know what could be causing this? By the way I'm using the latest
    driver from HP.
