I recently upgraded from a Vivitron CRT to a 19" ViewSonic flat screen
    display.
The flatscreen displays dashed lines and other broken line types as
solid lines rather than the correct line types. I have tried to vary
the line scale and it doesn't help. The line types plot correctly. I
am running Acad 2000. Any ideas on how to correct this problem/

    Go back to the CRT?

    Issue

All linetypes are displayed as continuous, regardless of the value set for
    the LTSCALE system variable.

    Solution

Check whether the SHADEMODE command is set to something other than 2D
wireframe. All other SHADEMODE settings (3D wireframe, hidden, flat,
gourand, flat+edges, gourand+edges) make linetypes display as continuous
    lines.

Did you change your video card and/or driver also?
