    Help!

I'm looking for an easy way to measure length of multiple lines in a
    modelfile.

We make drawing with electric cabels, and want to measure the total
length of these. It must have possibilty to show what linetype the
measured result is based on. (Diffrent cabel types is presented by
diffrent linetypes based on style, color and level).
If it's possible to export the result to a txt/ exel file etc it should
    be perfekt .

    Any suggestion is wellcome!

  3. In any Microstation, you can use Edit > Select by Attributes to select
all the lines of a certain line type and color. Just select the line
type and color and leave everything else unchecked. Also, make sure all
of the element types and levels are selected, unless you can narrow
this down too. Once the selection is made, you can then use the
"Measure Length" tool in the measure box inside the Tools palette. As
long as you directly select Measure Length or Measure Area, it will
    just measure them all.

In Microstation v8, you can actualy also use Power Selector to do this.
Just pull down the little arrow at the bottom right of the Power
Selector Tool Pane, and you can select levels, linetypes, etc to add or
    subtract from your selection set.

    Have fun!

Thank you all for your answers!

I think I will look in to how to make some sort of program, Basic or
MDL. A txt-file with all measuring results in separated on
lintypes+level is my first goal. Maybee there is a frame for this I can
use from some other basic program.

Anyway PowerSelector/Select by attrib + Measure tool works fine.

    Any tip is wellcome!
