What is the way to do a network installation for users who have a 128k modem
    connection (far far offices...)?
Someone tells me that they will have to install LDD the same way we did for
the main office (.msi, same tree installation, etc.)... And how will they
hit the .lic file? By Internet? How do we configure this with Flexlm??

To access the license file you'll need to establish a VPN or RAS connection.
The bandwidth requirements are low so even a modem connection should be
sufficient. The install won't work over the modem so I would suggest copying
all of the deployment image folders to DVD (I don't think they'll fit on CD)
and sending it to your remote user. He'll then just need to establish
connection with the license server and can do the install from the DVD.

    Just FYI.
We have had no problems doing just this with DSL at the remote site. We use
Cisco Pix Firewalls on each side but you would only need it on your side if
the remote user has a modem. (Remote User would need to run a software
client. We do this for our laptops.) I think the Pix was about US$400.

Remember that unless you plan on Borrowing licenses the remote user will
need to be connected all the time while the user needs Autocad.

    Thanks,
