    Hello,

    I'm trying to do a distributed simulation with Virtuoso Analog, I have
    configured the master but cannot connect to the clients trough the
    check setup of the distributed simulation.
    This is the log file when I check the distributed simulation setup.

    Checking for DP environment variables.....
    ##############################################################################

    Environment variable LBS_CLUSTER_MASTER is set to pcdesign36
    Checking for LBS mode setup
    Checking if cdsqmgr is running properly on "master" .........Ok
    Checking if cdsNameServer is running properly on "master" .........Ok
    Checking for queue config file...
    ********************************************************************************
    The queue config file identified is /usr/local/scripts/queue_config
    This may not be correct due to the OS command's (ps) limitations.
    You can set the env variable CDS_QUEUE_CONF_FILE to specify the queue
    config
    file used by the cdsqmgr daemon running on pcdesign36

    Checking if the hosts are up......
    client07 ....... Not up
    client09 ....... Not up

    these host(s) are not responding.

    3. Check for the presence of cdsserv binary.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    <<< Local cdsserv version : 06.00 >>>
    ##############################################################################
    When I try to do a simulation it only works on the master and not on
    the clients.
    The Job properties in the Job monitor says:
    Job dispatch failed; Verify the Path and setup requirements on
    execution host 'client09'
    Rsh login works to and from the clients, the installation directory is
    added to the PATH and LBS_CLUSTER_MASTER is defined.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you for your help
    Jean
    What is the OS ?
    Look into the cdsDPSetupChk wrapper script normally located in
    <install_dir>/tools/dfII/bin/
    and search for the following line
    set up=`$PINGB -c 1 $i | $GREPB "1 packets received"`
    in the "Checking if the hosts are up" section,
    then check the ping output from your xterm by pinging client09 for
    example, to make sure the GREPB line greps the right content.
    HTH,
    Kien
