Layout Name in PDF or PLT Filename is not added in ADT 2005

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Hugo Hernandez, Jun 17, 2004.

  1. Everytime I create a PDF or PLT file, it automatically appends the layout
name to the end of the file name. This is very useful when publishing
several drawings with multiple layouts on each drawing.

Shortly after upgrading to ADT 2005, this feature stopped working, and I can
not figure out how to set this back on. I have restored the profiles, I
have "repaired" the ADT installation without any success

I am using ADT 5.0 on a Dell M-60, PentiumM 1.7 Ghz. Windows XP Professional
(service pack 1, build 2300.xpsp2). This feature still works fine on ADT
    2004.

Any help on how to restore this feature will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Hugo Hernandez.

Here's a script file I use that has some things found in the depths of the
groups. Try it and see how it works for you.
The script actually will strip the PLT filename being created to the same
    name as the DWG file.

Autocad2005 make a printing job name like this:
    "C:\XX\Drawing1.dwg Model(1)"
The PDF Printers£¬usually, will replace the print job's extension with
".pdf", then the result pdf file name will be "Drawing1.pdf".
so, if you append a "." to the layout name, you can get the pdf filename
    like:
    "drawing1.dwg modal(1).pdf".
