We are regularly receiving models off one of our customers where they do not
layer off any Datum's, Axis or Csys. Is there any quick way of layering
them off in the top level assembly as there are literally hundreds of parts
involved. They tend to use the display buttons to turn them off but when
you are assembling parts together turning these back on makes the assembly a
mess and could mean the wrong, say axis, being selected.

    Here's hoping someone can help

It looks like you need ModelCHECK. Certain of its features, like layer_place and
layer_move and a couple for checking display status might be able to automate
fixing your customer's mess. As with many of the better Pro/e features (family
tables, formats, tables), it takes a lot of work setting it up with the right
information (rules), but it can fix a lot of stuff for you, including, possibly
putting datum features on layer and blanking them. The automatic stuff can be run
in batch mode, making it even more efficient.
