    Hey everyone --

I'm using AutoCadLT 2004 and for some reason when I name layers, some of
them display in ALL CAPS and some don't. It doesn't seem to matter how I
input them, and I can't detect a pattern as to why some are all caps and
some aren't. Anyone know what the deal is?

The obvious answer is that when you type the layer names at creation you
sometimes have CAPSLOCK on and sometimes don't.

Right, and since that's the obvious answer, I'd already made sure that
wasn't the problem... as indicated in my post, where I said "it doesn't seem
to matter how I input them." Any other ideas?

Are you saving in earlier formats for some of those? or importing objects
etc from earlier format files? I have found that saving to R14.dxf alters
those to caps, although that has been consistant...

  5. I have noticed that versions since A2K will often capitalize layer names as
well. Recently a drawing with lowercase layernames created from a template
in r14 was opened in 2002 and all the layers which originated in the
template were all-caps, and those created later were rendered as created.
    Don't know if that helps...
