    We use layer groups for different drawings( A-ELEV, A-WALL, etc.). I want to
    be able to apply a layer filter from a toolbar button. Is their a command
    line set for this or any other methods / suggestions?

    As always any help is appreciated.

    If you are using AutoCAD 2004 than this should work.

    First you have to save your layer states as .las files. Do this by open the drawing that has layers the way you want them.
    Than use the layer command and the save state button. Check the properties you want to save and give it a name. Than press ok. Now press the State Manager button and export. Once done with that you should be able to make a toolbar button to load your layer status.

    ^C^C(command "-layer" "A" "I" "C:\\test.las" "R" "TEST" "" "" "" "");
