Is there a way to run AutoCAD without the program popping up? What I'm trying to do is launch AutoCAD 2005, run a command to launch a program (BlueBeam) that creates a PDF, all from a DOS prompt. I just don't want AutoCAD to pop up and take over the screen.

Here's how I'm doing it from DOS:

    "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2005\acad.exe" test.dwg /b pdf.scr

Is there something I can add to make acad run silently/invisible/non-graphically or what ever the wording is? Thanks for any info

    Mike:
I'm not sure it'll work for your purposes, but you can try using the
    /Automation command line switch. :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I did try the /Automation command line switch, but I don't think AutoCAD recognizes it. However, I used the link that Dean posted and found a converter that seems to fit all my needs for only $40.

    Thanks guys,
