Is there any way to make XP remember your location when looking at files in
a particular folder. The model I have in mind is the AutoCad file system.
With AutoCad, when I look at a particular file and return to the file menu,
I am returned to the file which was opened while browsing. Windows always
places me back at the beginning of the folder. My question, is there a
setting that would not return to the beginning of the folder, but instead
return to the last file I opened. This is really handy if you are not sure
which file you need and are browsing.

    I find the solution

    In Windows Explorer
    Tools>Folder options>View
clear the Hide file extension for known file types option
