Keynote extraction

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Dwane Lindsey, Sep 9, 2004.

  1. We currently use the CSI Keynotes ( example: 04810A ) on our drawings and
have a single master list at the beginning of our drawing set. The master
list includes a description after the keynote, but the drawings do not.
There has been some discussion that people want to have a list on each sheet
with the keynotes that are used on that sheet only and get rid of the master
at the front of the set. Is there a 3rd party app, LISP or VBA routine that
will allow me to extract the keynote text in the drawing and create a list
on the drawing with the appropriate description? We have a VBA routine that
extracts the keynotes (marked with an 'X' in a column) from an Excel
document that you chose from, but it extract all the notes from the Excel
    file.

    Thanks for the help.

  2. You could try CADPlus [www.cadplus.com]. They used to have a product but it
woulld replace what you already have too.

If you don't get any other responses Dwane, email me. I could do it for you
if you re interested in hiring it out.
