Keyboard shortcut for "enter"

    I posted this on Autodesk Autocad Customization newsgroup and got no
    answer. Hope some kind soul will be able to answer in this group.
    I want to map my keyboard, or create a shortcut or macro, where I can
    do a "pick" (as with the left mouse button) from the keyboard without
    using the mouse.
    I find the "enter" command can be the right mouse button, the "space"
    key, or, in macros, the semicolon. I am unable to find any key,
    shortcut or macro character that will do the same thing as the left
    mouse "pick" button. Anybody know?

    Because AutoCAD's primary function is based from the left click and
    there are so many options that can be done with the left button, there
    is no other option in creating a shortcut.
