information to a file of the last person to open a particular drawing(s)
maybe this question has been answered here. I also like to mention that
I have spent quite a bit of time searching for this on Google. could someone
please point me in the right direction I would appreciate any help. Thank
    You.

Look into the autolisp "open" and "write-line" functions.

You could execute the program from the acaddoc.lsp or s::startup function.
