Just a Thank You to everyone who posts and used to post here. It looks
like the frequency of posts has declined a lot (migrated to somewhere
else?) but the archives are still very helpful.

I come from an Excel scripting background and am familiar with VBA.
Now I'm doing a lot of AutoCAD but nobody I work with is interested in
scripting or automation! It drives me nuts to do tedious, repetitive
tasks that could be done by the computer - so I am writing scripts. It
was hard to get started because all of the 'intro to VBA and AutoCAD'
guides only talk about the visual part of VBA. I guess because they're
coming from people with a lisp background. I'm slowly learning the
syntax for manipulating AutoCAD... starting with the hacky method of
    SendCommand :)

This group has been a big help in moving me to the next step!

You might want to also try the autocad forums on the Autodesk site
    itself:

    http://discussion.autodesk.com/forum.jspa?forumID=33

I find they are more frequented than this group and there is a lot of
information there even though the formatting is rather bizarre. Also
try writing to tech support as I have received a few answers from them
regarding VBA even though they don't officially support VBA scripts.
