My architect in Costa Rica delivered plans in a dxf file. Is there a free reader so I can access them on my computer? (Like adobe reader for pdf?)

If not, what is a simple way to proceed. I do not want to do heavy design work myself.

    Thanks

  3. Hello,

We do have a free reader for DWF. You may want to ask them to send you DWF
filesrather then DXF or even along with the DXF files. You can't modify the
DWFs, but if you don't have a way to open the DXF you can not modify it
either. The DWF format is nice, you can view and print. You can also
toggle layers and views if needed.

    Hope this helps.

I have been using OASIS COLUMBUS for viewing multiple cadd and other
document formats. It is a free utility and supports DXF, DWG, DGN, and many
other cadd, dbase, word document formats. So far it is the most useful and
    versatile viewer I have found.
