Is there a formula for executing "counts" on blue prints

I am trying to set up AutoCad LT to basically count lighting fixtures
on blueprints instead of having to manually do it. Is there a formula
to use on the command line?

 

create some attributes with all the required info then edit that block to
insert those attributes in. That way you can just attout or "attribute
extraction" and you can output the information in which ever format you
like(excel,word...)
