Is the maximum resolution of a DICOM image 512 x 512 pixels?

    Hi,

    I am doing some research on picture quality in DICOM images and have
    been told by a CT machine manufacturer that the resolution on a DICOM
    image after export fro the CT cannot be better then 512x512 pixels. Is
    this true?
