Is SW really a parametric modeler? (Or Inventor, or SE?)

What you say? I can change dimensions (parameters) and the model will change
accordingly. True, but can you drive a dimension from a parametric
function? That is what makes Pro/E a full parametric modeler and is how
gear teeth, catenaries and other special geometry would be parametrically
    modeled.

Skip the semantics and plugs and just ask if it can generate
    a function driven curve?
