Is HP-GL/2 Required ?

I was just eyeing the new Designjet 120 & 130 series. No HP-GL/2. Will
    they work with AutoCAD?

The 500 series has optional HP-GL/2, the 800 series has it. Dropping $4K on
a new plotter is tough for a small consulting firm.

    Thanks, Don

Thank you for the lead. How do you like the 120? I'm an engineering
consultant. I don't do a lot of plotting (i.e. one person business, not an
architect, structural or detailer that plots stacks a day), but do need 24"
roll feed (for Ansi/Arch D / A0) and banners. I would think the 120 would
    be plenty for me.

Perhaps, if you have an older computer, if will be a good idea to connect the HP120 to that, so that the plotter has a "dedicated computer".
Then you can work on your computer while the 120 is plotting the banners...

We like our 120s. Good value for the money. Of course we have other heavy duty plotters to use for the heavy lifting...
