Installing via an image and patches

    Group,

    We need some help installing 2005 via an image and when (how?/if?) to
    integrate the patches. I would appreciate some guidance or a link to help.

    Patrick,
    What software and/or vertical are you trying to install. There is a
    recently acknowledged issue with installing LDD5 with the SP
    slipstreamed into the installation image. To my knowledge it has not
    yet been addressed. If you're installing LDD5, install the image
    without the SP, then install the SP separately. The issue is that
    slipstreaming the SP into the image corrupts the Serial Number in the
    registry.

    Sorry, should've specified that. We've installed just 2k5. All went well,
    but I'd like to be able to push the spellchecker patch with the image, which
    I believe is not possible.
